Background
The Indiana State Nurses Association is the professional organization for Indiana's registered nurses. The Association was organized in 1903 to secure a nurse practice act to protect the citizens of Indiana. For 100 years we have been promoting and protecting nurses, the nursing profession and those who receive nursing care.

They are represented by the American Nurses Association, headquartered in Washington, D.C. and the International Council of Nurses, based in Geneva, Switzerland.

ISNA is headquartered in Indianapolis. The official publication of the organization is the "ISNA Bulletin" which is published quarterly and distributed to every RN, LPN and nursing student in Indiana.

Vision
ISNA is the recognized leader and advocate for professional nursing, nurses and quality health care in Indiana.

Mission
To advance professional nursing practice in Indiana in service of quality health care.

Nurses Make History

ISNA is celebrating its 100th anniversary. To mark this occasion, we have published a softcover history book profiling the women and men who have diligently worked to improve our profession.
