ISNA Board of Directors Meeting
April 4, 2008

ISNA BOARD SUMMARIES

PRESENT: Ella Harmeyer, President; Judy Barbeau, Secretary; Paula McAfee, Treasurer; Eleanor Donnelly, Jennifer Embree (telephone), Michael Fights, Vicki Johnson, and Katie Willock, Directors; Ernest C. Klein, Jr., CAE, Executive Director.

ABSENT WITH NOTICE: Barbara Kelly, Vice President

OTHERS PRESENT: Stephen Ingram, CAE, Sightline Solutions; Angie Heckman; Wendy Curry, ISNA Administrative Assistant.

President Ella Harmeyer convened the meeting at 9:30 am, EDT. Wendy Curry was introduced as the new ISNA Administrative Assistant, replacing Sara Denny, who is retiring April 30 after nearly 23 years with ISNA.

Stephen Ingram reviewed the membership surveys and discussed ideas for increasing the number of ISNA members.

The Board approved the minutes for the meetings on November 30, 2007, February 22, 2008 (conference call), and March 7, 2008 (conference call).

Approved the appointment of Victoria Pigott to Committee on Approval.

Audit report for 2007 was accepted as presented by Mike Wolf, CPA, during the February 22, 2008, conference call.

President Harmeyer reported on the Tri-Council conference call on February 22.

Ernest Klein presented his staff report, a recap of the legislative session, and an update on the UAN disaffiliation complaint filed by the Michigan State Nurses Association.

The ISNA Board meeting scheduled for April 25 was cancelled with the next meeting to be June 6, 2008, at ISNA headquarters with the ISNA Delegates to the American Nurses Association’s House of Delegates, which will meet in Washington, DC, June 26-28, 2008.

Meeting adjourned at 2:15 pm, EDT.
