Klein, Jr., CAE, Executive Director; and Gary Abell, Director of Marketing and Communications; Lee Schwecke, Chairperson, Psychiatric Mental Health Special Interest Forum.

Received a verbal report from Linda Shinn, President of the Indiana Nurses Foundation. The Indiana Nurses Foundation will present a CE Program the day before the 2004 Meeting of the Members. Awarded more than $13,000 in scholarships at their November meeting.

Approved Position Statement on Antitrust Activities.

Discussed Board of Directors Responsibilities as:
Officers of a corporation in the State of Indiana
Trustees of the members’ money
Employers
Voice for the members
Voice for the profession.

Revised the Mission Statement
Adopted Strategic Plan and Goals for 2003-2005.
Approved proposal for 2003 Audit and 2004 Financial Statements.
Special Interest Forums:
Approved formation of the new Public Health Special Interest Forum
Appointed the following Executive Committees:
History Forum: Marjorie Porter, Chairperson; Barbra Wall, Vice-Chairperson, and Pat Sandor, Secretary.
Psychiatric/Mental Health Forum: Ellen Chesnut, Co-Chairperson; Leslie Oleck, Co-Chairperson; and Stephena Sheets, Secretary.
Public Health Special Interest Forum: Veda Gregory, Chairperson; Martha Thomas, Vice-Chairperson; and Louise Anderson, Secretary.
Appointed Cindi Moon, ISNA Treasurer, to represent ISNA Board of Directors on the Indiana Nurses Foundation Board.
Authorized staff to proceed with contract negotiations with the Indiana Nursing Workforce Development Coalition for staffing services.
