This innovative free continuing education webcast features an all nurse faculty with patient-nurse role-play video. The webcast focuses on vaccine safety, nurses' role in immunization promotion, and risk communication.  It offers practical knowledge and skills for nurses to be informed and confident vaccine educators.  The course provides 2.5 continuing education contact hours and is free to both non-members and members of the American Nurses Association.

Developed for the nurse in any role or specialty, the course covers:

  • Impact of vaccines on society;
  • How the nursing profession is vital to the promotion of immunizations;
  • Benefits of vaccination to nurses (and healthcare workers);
  • Vaccine safety and adverse event reporting;
  • Common questions and vaccine myths; and
  • Risk Communication methods to reduce concerns and increase vaccine acceptance.
