Protecting the Nursing Profession ISNA monitors legislation and proposed rules changes at the state level. Each session of the Indiana General Assembly the Indiana State Nurses Association tracks over 100 bills that have an impact on Indiana's nurses. In addition, we attend hearings and study commission meetings and provide expert testimony to committees and review groups. ISNA staff and lobbyists are at the Indiana State House every day the legislature is in session and during any meetings throughout the year where the nursing profession is discussed. We also keep our members informed about pending legislation at the federal level which is monitored by the American Nurses Association. |
