Public Policy 101 Legislative
Conference
More than 120 nursing students from across Indiana took part in
this year's conference on February 10 at the ISTA Center in downtown
Indianapolis. Attendees learned about how bills are generated and how the
legislative process works. Guests heard from State Representative Peggy
Welch (D-Bloomington), Joanne Warner (ISNA Nurse-PAC board member and Glenna
Shelby ISNA lobbyist.
In addition, the group attended the Public
Health Committee meeting, chaired by Representative Charlie Brown (D-Gary)
which took place at the Indiana State House. Below are pictures from the
