Governor Daniels Appoints ISNA Members to Board of Nursing
On September 26, 2007, Governor Daniels appointed ISNA members Lynda Narwold, MSN, RN, IU Kokomo, and Marcia Laux, MS, RN, IU Bloomington, to serve on the Indiana State Board of Nursing. They join ISNA members Carolyn Slagle, MSN, RN, CNS, New Castle, and Laurel, Valentino, MS, RN, Crown Point, on the Indiana State Board of Nursing. Congratulations!
Also appointed was Connie McIntosh, RN, Ball State University. Other recent appointees are: Scott Johns, CRNA, Fort Wayne; Jerry Burghduff, LPN, Rome City; and Anne Ogle, Consumer Member, Columbus, IN. One LPN position is still vacant.
Sean Gorman has been appointed the Director of the ISBN (chief staff person). He comes to the Board and the Professional Licensing Agency from the IN Dept. of Environmental Management. At IDEM, Sean was Indiana’s expert on outdoor wood boiler issues and contributed in national discussion on the creation of health-based regulations for the devices. Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs and a Juris Doctorate, both from Indiana University. He replaces Tonja Thompson who recently left the Agency.
