The ISNA members at the Annual Meeting in September 2004 passed the following resolution:
That ISNA initiate a process to evaluate whether the Institute of Medicine (IOM) recommendation that restrictions be placed on the number of hours that nurses work is a recommendation that ISNA should support and take steps to implement in Indiana and report to the members at the 2005 Annual Meeting.
