Senate Votes to Increase Nurse Education Funding
The Senate voted on September 10 to accept the
Mikulski/Collins amendment which would increase funding for the nursing
workforce development programs of Title VIII (including the Nurse
Reinvestment Act) by $50 million - a 55% increase over 2003 funding. The
bill now goes to a House/Senate conference committee.

Funds Available to Assist with Education Expenses
ISNA members, who are at least
halfway through the
nursing program in which they are currently enrolled, can apply for the
Ethel Mae Payne Educational Program for assistance with their nursing school
